Friendships come in all shapes and sizes, and the friendship between 3-year-old dachshund Schnitzel and his horse Chief is no exception. In the video below, a little black dachshund and his white horse companion take a quick stroll around the stables, and Schnitzel leads the way!
Despite the wind and dreary-looking sky, Schnitzel and Chief are in high spirits and go for a nice walk together. It’s clear how much love exists between these two disparate creatures when we see Schnitzel hold the red rope connected to Chief’s bridle and happily skip towards the camera.
Schnitzel the dog may be small, but he’s mighty. He has no problem walking around and showing people — and horses — who’s boss. He even sweetly looks behind him to make sure Chief is following him. Of course, he is!
If only every stable could have such an incredible assistant! Other videos show that Chief is no stranger to being led around by Schnitzel, and I think it’s safe to say that their pairing makes quite the adorably odd couple.
