When you have worked all your life with horses it is impossible not to love them and even when you are at your last hours they bring you joy and a smile to your face. This is exactly what happened to former stable hand Patrick Saunders.
He had a strong connection with animals as he had served them almost all his life and when he was at his last hours he demanded to feed a horse. It is a moment that no word can explain when he beamed with joy and delight as he fed and stroked for the last time a horse, an animal he loved unconditionally.
One nurse at the hospital said, “I will never forget his enormous beam as he stroked a horse’s face for the final time after the creature was brought to his hospice.” He had his last wish fulfilled after the employees at the hospital arranged to see and stroke a horse for him.
