In a stunning display of equestrian boldness, a horseman decided to ride his horse straight into a supermarket to do his grocery shopping—and the results were absolutely priceless. Shoppers couldn’t believe their eyes as the rider and his equine companion casually strolled down the aisles, browsing the deli counters as if they were just another pair of customers. Of course, the store manager had a very different reaction to this unexpected visit!
A Shopper’s Perfect Capture of the Moment
Alistair Smith, 49, happened to be arriving at the store when he witnessed the incredible scene unfold. Lucky for us, he managed to capture the bizarre moment on camera before the horseman was escorted out by the store manager.
“I was on my way into the shop when I saw the horse canter into the shop,” Alistair explained. “Initially I thought it was a fundraising stunt, but when I saw the manager chasing him out, I realized it wasn’t. It was a very funny thing. To see the reaction on people’s faces was priceless.”
The Rider’s Confession
The daring horseman, who identified himself as Rick, revealed his motivation to Times Live. “I did it for kicks,” he said with a grin. “People were looking for some sensation, so I gave it to them and warmed them up.”
While the store manager certainly wasn’t amused by the impromptu equestrian shopping experience, Rick’s stunt succeeded in creating an unforgettable moment that captured the imagination of everyone present—and now, everyone watching!
