Shoppers at The Spar supermarket in Jeffrey’s Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa, got the surprise of their lives when a determined rider cantered straight into the store on horseback. Yes, you read that correctly—a man literally rode his horse through the sliding doors to pick up his groceries!

An Unexpected Shopping Trip
Alistair Smith, 49, was entering the supermarket when he spotted the horse cantering through the entrance. “I was on my way in when I saw the horse canter into the shop,” Alistair explained. “Initially, I thought it was a fundraising stunt, but when I saw the manager chasing him out, I realized it wasn’t planned!”
